The HR Training and Development Manager is responsible for professional development needs from the idea stage through planning to approval and successful implementation. The manager has responsibility for assessing the community college's global training needs as a part of continuous learning, providing development and delivery of leadership, managerial and individual contributor training. Through one-on-one consulting with managers and leaders, this position will determine and execute departmental professional development offerings which include team building and development of culture around core values.
The Training and Development Manager will also analyze staff/faculty needs to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving individual and institutional goals.
Incumbents for this position will also be responsible for planning and executing site safety functions/requirements, including OSHA and DOL annual reporting, incident reporting, and Worker's Compensation. Additionally, the manager is responsible for administration of, and planning and conducting safety training programs for identified work groups.
Individual will be responsible for assisting and consulting in employee relations with individuals and managers.
Required Education/
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field and six (6) years of experience in Human Resources with two (2) years of experience in specific HR function; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field and two (2) years of experience in Human Resources or Business; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Experience with technology as related to learning management systems and use of technology in training is preferred.
Certifications - ASTD, DDI, DISC, MBTI
Memberships - NASP, OSHA, SHRM, CUPA
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ability to develop and implement a systematic program of training. Participate in meaningful professional development activities and initiatives. These activities should focus on four areas: technology training, safety training, RCCC institutional training including core values and organizational goals, and leadership training. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
