Salisbury, NC Salisbury, NC Full-time Full-time $24 - $30 an hour $24 - $30 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago The Maintenance Technician - Electrical Associate is responsible for preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting and repair of all production related equipment throughout the plant.

Preventative maintenance:
Perform scheduled PM activities per written instructions and job knowledge of the specific piece of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Communicate improvement ideas (add/subtract) element to the PM instructions to help improve the equipment OEE.
Equipment work order:
Timely response to an equipment breakdown to trouble-shoot root cause of problem, identify possible solutions and to implement the solutions.
These activities may include identifying and getting on order components required to complete the repair.
Communicate equipment status with operators and appropriate management personnel.
Equipment Includes PLC controllers, HMI's, Hydraulic / pneumatic presses, Pneumatic / electronic test equipment, electronic torque equipment, etc.
Utilizes misc.
hand tools, most common screwdrivers, wrenches, voltage / Amp meter.
Has a tool cart and tool bag, laptop.
Requires work outside of and inside of the machines.
Requires various positions for a few minutes to a few hours, such as:
balancing on narrow footing, climbing, reaching forward/overhead, squatting, kneeling, stooping and/or lying on back, and maneuvering in small tight spaces.
Surfaces may be slippery due to coolant, occasionally works off a 2-step stepladder.
Comply with all safety procedures and policies.
Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.
Skills and Competencies Technical Capacity Requires working knowledge of PLC Ladder logic/Function Block (GE Allen Bradley-preferred), HMI software (Redlion, Allen Bradley-preferred), Electrical / Electronic circuit troubleshooting, Pneumatic / Hydraulic circuit troubleshooting, measurement and test equipment (torque, pressure, force transducers etc.
).
Electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic blueprint reading and electrical panel building / modification Must have working knowledge and comply to all LOCK out / Tag Out procedures Computer skills, including software/hardware Shop math Blueprint Reading Shop use of measuring devices Understanding temperature controls Mechanical / Plumbing Pneumatics Hydraulics Basic lathe and milling machine operation Communication Proficiency Organization Skills Time Management Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
