THE POSITION The Sales Manager is responsible for achieving an optimal balance between occupancy and ADR growth to maximize revenue opportunities while not only meeting but exceeding hotel sales goals.
The Sales Manager is responsible for the sales and catering department of our extended stay hotel.
REQUIREMENTS One year of hotel sales experience REQUIRED Hilton sales experience is prioritized.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent track record of prospecting, managing, and developing local corporate and group accounts.
Strong analytical skills.
A self-starter.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and wear many hats.
Capable of working independently.
Strong presentation skill.
Strong networking, prospecting and business development skills required.
Capable of handling high pressure situations while maintaining composer and professionalism.
High customer service skills are required.
High consideration given to candidates with Salisbury, Concord or Kannapolis experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate all group, LNR and SMERF business.
Build strong relationships with all hotel clients and operations teams.
Involvement in the local community and participate in area CVB and chamber functions.
Proactively conduct outside sales calls, tours and client engagement and entertainment.
Develop market awareness of the property through outreach, trade shows and volunteer opportunities.
Required to make outside prospecting calls daily.
Monitor, track and increase share with local corporate accounts.
Correspond with the front desk team to receive leads and capitalize on all sales opportunities in house.
Attend the bi-weekly sales meeting.
Complete a monthly sales report, expense reports, and prospecting report.
Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
