Rowan County Sheriff's Office Job Opportunity Announcement PT OFFICE ASSISTANT III Job #812-1 Sheriff's Office Open Until Filled Located in the heart of North Carolina's Piedmont, Rowan County is attractively and conveniently nestled between the state's largest city and its Capitol.
Rowan County is made up of more than 20 departments and nearly 1,250 employees that are committed to providing a wealth of services to County residents and businesses.
The County is currently accepting applications for the position of PT Office Assistant III (Sheriff's Office).
This position maintains departmental records, reports and files; processes incoming and outgoing mail; types and proofreads letters and memos; answers incoming calls; and greets the public.
19 hours per week not to exceed 999 in a calendar year.
Requires general knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment; ability to compile and record information based on general instructions; ability to type with accuracy using correct spelling and grammatical structure; ability to utilize computer software applications; ability to answer questions independently and resolve problems; and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Requires a high school diploma and one year of clerical experience, preferably supplemented by community college courses in Secretarial Science or Business Administration.
Pay Rate:
$15.
