Job Description
The primary purpose of the Financial Systems Analyst - BI Developer is to maintain and further develop Financial Systems applications utilized by Delhaize America. This department is responsible for functionally maintaining the Walker General Ledger and other financial systems pertinent to the accuracy and completeness of the financial performance of the company. Associates at this level must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the Information Builders WebFOCUS Business Intelligence Platform; functional knowledge of general ledger systems; and be a recognized expert in their own area.
Responsibilites:
Design, code and maintain WebFOCUS financial and operations reports in a user-friendly web environment; provide ad hoc reporting and automate manual processes to save users hours of manual work; act as the liaison between IT Security and Financial Systems to provide and maintain security access to WebFOCUS; provide training, service, and support to WebFOCUS users; provide training and support to other WebFOCUS programmers; maintain relationship with WebFOCUS vendor, Information Builders; provide back up in the areas of Walker General Ledger.
Undertake complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge and is viewed as an expert in Financial Systems application development.
Work closely with customers and design teams in prioritizing data and information requirements.
Determine how Financial Systems applications will provide the information required to make effective business decisions.
Translate requirements into applications that employ appropriate decision support and reporting tools.
Be involved in the design, development and maintenance of WebFOCUS.
Perform modeling of data sources and flows, works with business partners to define an operational framework that will define, develop and implement policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure delivery of knowledge and information.
Monitor database and system performance, implements changes to optimize performance.
Are involved in the selection of new products.
Assist to establish and communicate common goals and direction for team.
Act as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.
Required Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business
Administration (or equivalent experience) required.
Advanced analytical skills and ability to multitask.
Interprets financial systems issues with assistance from management; makes recommendations for financial system changes based on that interpretation.
Resolves day-to-day or routine problems using standard practice guidelines.
Typically performs key control activities that may be reviewed by management to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
Demonstrates and role models behaviors expected of associates.
Promotes teamwork through coaching and guiding less experienced analysts.
Experience/Skills Preferred:
4
years of developmental coding experience (WebFOCUS, SQL, Java Script, HTML).
4
years of accounting and/or information systems experience.
Familiarity with batch scheduling applications, along with FTP, Web, & Email distribution methods.
Ability to communicate effectively between technical and business users.
Ability to analyze data sources and suggest guidance to optimize information usage for developed reporting
Prior WebFOCUS 8
development experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
