The Program Chair of Computer Technology Integration is a full-time faculty member responsible for the administrative supervision and management of the CTI programs, which currently include: computer information technology; computer programming; computer technology integration; information systems security; networking technology; and web technologies. The program chair will supervise faculty and staff, manage resources, and coordinate facility use under the supervision of the Dean of Science, Biotechnology, Mathematics and Information Technologies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Providing coordination and oversight for the day-to-day operation of the computer technology-related programs
o Assisting in recruitment of credentialed and qualified full-time and part-time faculty;
o Teaching;
o Preparing class schedules, based on current levels of demand;
-Developing course objectives and syllabi
-Designing program progression
o Preparing routine reports pertaining to program activities;
o Actively participating in program advising procedures, including recruitment and retention of students;
o Preparing capital and operating budget requests;
o Assisting with the evaluation of faculty;
o Fostering good relationships within the college and external groups to strengthen interdisciplinary and industry ties, commodity organizations, public agencies, discipline societies, and other organizations.
o Performing other duties as assigned by the Dean
Required Education/Experience Skills:
Bachelor's degree or appropriate credentials in a computer science or technology-related discipline. Proven ability to relate to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and clientele/general public is essential along with demonstrated strong leadership and administrative capabilities and communication skills. Must be committed to the community college open door philosophy and be a positive and participative member.
Desired Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in a computer science-related discipline or disciplines. Industry experience in computer technology-related area. Minimum of two years teaching experience at post-secondary level. Blackboard or other LMS experience. Program management experience in community college setting. Proven record of leadership in an academic and/or industry setting. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
