Physician (Pulmonologist)

VA healthcare in North Carolina is growing, with new VA Health Care Centers planned to open in Charlotte and Kernersville, NC.
Together with Salisbury VAMC, these VA centers will provide care for a large population of veterans living in the central portion of North Carolina.
The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at the VA Medical Center, Salisbury NC is seeking a physician with training, interest, and expertise in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
The physician specialist is to join a multidisciplinary program providing complex inpatient and outpatient services with dedicated support staff and operational space.
Applicants should have leadership skills and motivation to provide oversight of administrative operations, clinical care, and teaching with responsibilities that include the supervision of fellows from Wake Forest University Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program.
The Division manages patients with complex diseases and active participates in specialized multidisciplinary clinics such as thoracic oncology clinics, ALS clinics.
Advanced bronchoscopy procedures such as EBUS is available on site and the Division utilizes the Simbionix endoscopy simulator to train fellows.
The Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine program is highly focused on outcomes and strongly encourages research activity.
There are opportunities for leadership in the area of clinical trials.
Candidates will have academic appointment with Wake Forest University commensurate on the level of experience and interest.
Applicant's length of practice (experience) will be considered by a Compensation Board in determining the salary of the applicant selected.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
