Program Specialist

Major Duties include:
o Works closely with the Section Chiefs in Surgery Service and ACOS/Surgery to ensure that the provider notebooks are maintained and updated.
o Assists with consult tracking; develops and implements Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) templates for the enhancement of specialty care progress notes and/or consults; develops clinic profiles which are used in the Medical Center's Appointment Management scheduling software package.
o Functions as the administrative process and policy expert, advising medical and administrative staff relative to creating new clinic profiles or making changes to established profiles.
o Reinforces the use of VISTA packages for scheduling, registration of patients, workload monitoring, retrieval of clinical information and other specialized information found in VISTA as it relates to the specific needs of the Surgery Service Line.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
