Front End Developer


Position
Summary:
Provides JSP(JavaServer Pages )and Java development within AEM(Adobe Experience Manager), WebSphere Portal and other web application development. Develops HTML5, CSS3, and JS specifications provided through requirements and functional design. Provides UX (User Experience) consulting and best practices to business partners. Provides maintenance and support of the portfolio of web content.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
o Codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements web applications.
o Performs development and maintenance programming for web pages and web applications. Performs web usability testing.
o Translates customer requirements and functional mockups into designs.
o Translates PSDs (Photoshop Documents) into functional HTML / CSS(Cascading Style Sheets) mockups.
o Provides insights into design best practices and previous experiences to improve website designs.
o Mentors and trains less experienced team members.
o Participates in development projects, working under supervision of the Team Leader and Senior Systems Analyst.
o Collaborates with backend developers to execute implementations and provide design and user experience insights.
Basic Qualifications:
o Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Communication, or Digital Media, or related field or equivalent experience.
o Minimum of 5+ years' experience in the qualified skills:
o Front-end frameworks, such as Gumby, Foundation, or Bootstrap
o Understanding of industry standard tools
o Experience with HTML5, responsive design and other cutting edge best practices
o Understanding Web browser backward compatibility
o Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript best practices and standards.
o Good understanding of software engineering practices, SDLC.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience with Source Control Systems, such as Subversion or GIT.
o (UX) User Experience.
o Integrations with Web Content Management systems, especially AEM (Adobe CQ5).
o Some backend coding skills.
o Project leadership, Technical Leadership experience.
Skills and Abilities:
o Excellent communications and time management skills.
o Able to maintain technical skill currency/assist in the development of others in the group.
o Ability to manage time while working on multiple assignments, in multiple roles.
o Able to develop communication, leadership, facilitation and interpersonal skills.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
