The position is located at the W.
G.
(Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury NC.
The primary duties of this position are to install new and repair, troubleshoot, modify, load, test and perform preventative maintenance on existing electrical systems, fixtures, controls and equipment, including primary and secondary distribution lines up to 4160 volts.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Working from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and electrical maintenance and repair manuals.
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs to existing electrical systems, fixtures, controls and equipment for furnishing light and power.
Disassembles equipment, repairs and/or replaces parts and components, cleans and assembles.
Makes operational tests and adjustments as necessary.
Installs equipment.
Cuts, bends and installs metal conduit, and installs properly-sized wires.
Troubleshoots by checking or tracing circuits, locates and diagnoses trouble, repairs or replaces parts and reinstalls.
Repairs and installs line starters, controllers, limit switches, pressure switches (high and low) and all types of controlling relays.
Makes adjustments and solves problems by use of electrical formulae for computing voltages, resistance, amperages, capacitances and frequencies.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
