Program Support Assistant HUD-VASH

Duties to include but not limited to:
Performs work involving the collection, compilation, and/or tracking of data and statistical information; Assists in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies; Establishes protocols for incoming data, organizes computerized data sets, and retrieves computerized data; Performs basic analysis for the data and generates a variety of reports; Coordinates incoming data from a variety of sources, reviews documents, reports, for omissions and inconsistencies; Enters pertinent information into an automated tracking system; Maintains program-specific data in automated systems to track suspense on items; Serves as timekeeper, initiating, and maintaining all required records; Receives all telephone calls and correspondence; Schedules appointments and conferences for the HUD/VASH Coordinator and other HCHV staff as needed; Maintains appointment calendar for the program Coordinator and initiates timely reminders to assure attendance; Takes minutes of staff meetings as required, committee meetings and transcribes in final format; Types a variety of correspondence in final form, ensuring correct punctuation, capitalization, spelling, grammar, and conformance to style; Maintains inventory of office supplies; Evaluates and interprets administrative material received in the service; Performs work related to the acquisition and/or development of program information and resource materials/personnel to support policy development; Other duties as assigned. Occasional travel may be required to other sites during business hours to assist the HUD/VASH Program. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
providing information and analysis for short and long-range planning, making recommendations for improving workflow, completing assigned special projects, performing general clerical and assistant support of a fiscal nature, creating and researching accounting records, collecting, compilation, and/or tracking of data and statistical information, providing assistance and service to the general public, staff members, and communicating information to the Executive Leadership, facility staff, and outside stakeholders. Physical Requirements:
The work is sometimes sedentary but requires standing during presentations or training; bending; and carrying light items, such as paper, books, or small parts. Work requires considerable walking to all parts of the medical center. No special physical characteristics of the incumbent are needed to perform the work. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
