Program Support Assistant

Serves as a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) sponsor and manager; Serves as TMS Training Coordinator for service; Serves as Pharmacy Service's primary timekeeper for the Salisbury VAMC, Charlotte Health Care Center (HCC), Charlotte Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), and Kernersville HCC; Collects data pertaining to staff, residents and students from timekeeping menu(s) for Automated Management Information System (AMIS) reporting to Administrative Officer and management; Chair of the Pharmacy Technician Professional Standards Board, assists with VISN 6 PSB as needed; Coordinates the preparation of position descriptions for Pharmacy employees and documentation necessary for filling vacancies; Serves as the primary assistant to the Pharmacy Service ADPAC/Computer Program Coordinator and the service AIS Coordinator; Assists in providing answers to questions and recommends compliance concerning policies and procedures related to information/computer system services; Assist with acquisitions, allocation as well as utilization of space in the facility allotted to Pharmacy Service; Serves as credit card holder. Responsible for purchasing training, continuing education and conferences for Pharmacy staff; Assists with the submission of request of goods and services by creating an electronic request (2237) in the Generic Inventory Package (GIP) module of the Integrated Funds Distribution, Control Point Monitoring, Accounting and Procurement (IFCAP) system; Coordinates with HRMS required personnel actions including professional standards boards, board actions, performance appraisals, and annual competencies; Prepares Pharmacy Service organizational and functional charts as instructed by management staff; Serves as Records Liaison. Establishes, maintains, purges, and disposes of files and records; Makes travel arrangements and prepares travel orders and vouchers, based on general travel intentions, known preferences of traveler, and in accordance with appropriate travel regulations for all Pharmacy staff; Tracks Medical Center Memorandums (MCM) and service line memorandums; Responsible for annual Pharmacy equipment inventories, including purchase of reference materials; Reviews Joint Commission standards for Pharmacy Service and informs the AO of issues that need to be resolved; The incumbent is responsible for collecting, compiling and/or tracking statistical data and preparing reports related to the administrative, clinical, and technical aspects of the program for submission to Pharmacy leadership; Reviews documents, reports, and applications for omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate; Establishes and monitors suspense dates and brings to supervisor's attention those that cannot be met by requested date or when there is a conflict; Incumbent performs record keeping duties (protocols, receiving and dispensing records, and informed consents) of research and investigational drug studies for ADP/Research Coordinator; Maintains office calendars, coordinates and schedules meetings and/or conferences. Informs supervisors of conflicts and reschedules appointments as necessary; Develops, establishes, and maintains office procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations regarding the administrative work of the organization; Receives telephone calls, greets visitors, and based upon knowledge of the organizations and their programs and operations, refers telephone calls and visitors to appropriate staff; Processes incoming and outgoing correspondence, materials, publications, regulations, and directives independently; Complies and develops program materials such as hard copy and computer-based brochures and reports to inform staff on the use of equipment such as computers, printers, fax machines, copiers, etc; The incumbent uses multiple automated programs and software such as databases, spreadsheets, and graphics for the Pharmacy Office. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
